C.L.A.P (chaz’s lemonade & produce) is ran by Chaz.He ❤️S to garden & help his town. Chaz has a disability called Dystonia that has effected how he has to do things .We all help with the garden but he ❤️s to pick & sell it. He says “pay what you can” for veggies & drink cause he knows people don’t have a lot of money.
’CLAP’ on/off is a simple stand that was set up by Chaz, due to A rare neurological disorder he is unable to work, but he loves his stand! $1 for lemonade and ‘whatever you can give’ come veggie time means a lot to a disabled boy that works hard to sell his veggies he grows & lemonade made for the community. Prices are not set in stone, He just wants people that are hungry to have food, even if they can’t pay a lot, and people to stop and chat with him. Dystonia is a very isolating disease & with most his friends driving now, he is stuck at home and wanted a purpose. Any money goes towards next years garden. ’CLAP’ is ‘on’ when Chaz is outside ready for customers and ‘CLAP off’ is when the stand is taken down for the da ready to sell! Just like Dystonia, one minute we can be perfectly fine (clap on) and in 2 seconds we can have an attack (clap off).
Chaz is a 16 year old with a rare movement disorder called Dystonia. He started showing symptoms of it when he was just 8 years old. It effects his whole body physically and mentally. Before the disease He loved being outside 24/7 with his little brother, and even now he loves being outside but his body limits him. A Dystonic episode can look like a seizure and feel like multiple muscle spasms At the same time. Unable to work, and having just moved to a new house where we didn’t know anyone, Chaz decided to grow a garden and sell his veggies with his little town of Maryville. He loves to grow Tomatoes, beans, corn, radishes, lettuce, cucumber, squash, & cantaloupe. He doesn’t have a set price because he wants everyone to enjoy fresh veggies and be fed! He also loves the conversations with his community. His disability can be very isolating and has taken a lot from him, but he hasn’t let it take everything and he stays in good spirits!
